Engineering Management

  • R&D management is the most important part of the industry in developed and developing countries. In order for companies to have an active role in the world and to make the represented country superior in technology and innovation, R&D studies must be carried out.

One of the biggest reasons for the slow progress of these studies for years was that the R&D process was a difficult and expensive process. In addition, the scarcity of highly trained engineers and technical staff for this job is not surprising. The R&D investments and incentives needed by Turkey have recently been seriously supported by the government. Leading investors and companies have now felt the necessity of this process and accelerated their work.

    • Engineering Management Education

Engineering management is the education required of engineers or technical personnel to manage projects and designs. It is also used to describe functional management such as project management. Engineer managers must be trained and experienced in both the general management and engineering disciplines used to manage a team of engineers.

Quantitative and qualitative management courses given at academic level train engineering management candidates. In particular, there are 3 areas of study: innovation and strategic management, analysis management for product and service operations, product and project management.

In short, Engineering Management is an interdisciplinary field of industrial engineering and social sciences for scientists and engineers, R&D management, technology processes, briefly strategic and operational decisions, and for those who want to be senior managers.

Design, production and management of systems based on people, machines, money, time, information and energy, which are created by combining knowledge, techniques and skills in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering and Business Administration, taking into account the environment, quality and ethical values, and in order for organizations to achieve their targeted goals It is a education program that aims to teach the necessary approaches and methods for continuous improvement and development.

The Engineering Management Program aims to train students from various engineering, science and social science disciplines as managers equipped with modern and competitive management knowledge, approaches and techniques in the globalizing world.

Scope of Engineering Management is to be a discipline for making and applying the most appropriate decisions in the management of existing and emerging technologies and associated systems. It deals with issues at both the strategic and operational levels.

Engineering Management is the organizing, planning, directing and controlling the activities of engineers, scientists, designers and other technical and non-technical personnel to achieve desired objectives in the design, manufacture, construction, operation or maintenance of a product, device, structure or machine.

The difference between Engineering Management programs from MBA is that they provide engineers with the knowledge and skills to use these qualifications more effectively and efficiently without alienating them from their existing technical knowledge and skills.

Engineering Management is the management of activities using engineering and applied sciences. Engineering Management is aimed at engineers who are in a position to make strategic and operational decisions regarding current and future technologies. Engineering Management is to increase efficiency, quality and global competitiveness, maintain the technological level, and create new business areas.
