Step 1: Get Your Key Documents from Your University

As soon as you complete your official registration at the university, you need to obtain two crucial documents from the student affairs office:

Student Certificate (Öğrenci Belgesi): This is an official document confirming that you are an enrolled student at the university.
A Formal Request Letter: Many universities will also provide a letter addressed to the immigration office supporting your residence permit application.

Step 2: Gather Your Required Documents

With your university documents in hand, you need to assemble your application package. The required documents are:

Online Application Form: You will fill this out on the official e-ikamet website (e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr). After completing it, you must print and sign it.
Passport and Visa Copies: A copy of your passport’s main information page and the page with your student visa stamp.
Four Biometric Photos: These must be recent (taken within the last 6 months) and meet specific biometric standards.
